These projects were a lot of fun. To be honest, not a ton of strategy went into it, just asked the simple question “how do we get teens to like us?” Answer: work with people they trust and like to get their attention and remind them Coca-Cola is awesome. And so we did. The first video “Little Talks” with Kurt Hugo Schneider and Kevin Olusola resonated with teens and quickly reached millions of views on YouTube. The 2nd video “Safe and Sound” shared similar success and featured a then up and coming actress, Zendaya. These films performed so well online, they were repurposed into :30s to run as the brand’s main thrust creative on TV and in cinema.
